Chapter one
It all started at bedtime
01
A big step into their own beds
When our children were ready to move from sleeping with us to having their own beds, my husband and I wanted to make the transition a good one. We set about making their room comfortable and inviting, a place they'd love to be.
02
The suitcase sheets
But finding bedsheets we genuinely liked, in designs that suited their personalities and at a quality we were happy with, proved surprisingly difficult. With so few local options, we relied on friends and family travelling abroad to bring bedsheets back for us.
03
A question worth asking
We began to wonder why finding bedding that met these needs had to be so difficult for parents like us. That question became the starting point for Flutter & Snooze.
04
Designs children connect with
We wanted to do more than fill a gap. We wanted designs that spoke to children's interests, celebrated their personalities and made their rooms feel uniquely theirs. Developing them took time and thought, because every detail mattered.
05
Comfort, chosen carefully
When two of our children experienced allergies, we began paying closer attention to the fabrics they slept on. That led us to a soft bamboo-cotton blend, so comfort could sit right alongside design.
“Today, we help parents create spaces where their children can feel comfortable, express themselves and let their imaginations run free.”
